Official arrested for alleged graft issues

Lu Guimin, a bureau-level official of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, has been placed under investigation for alleged graft issues, the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) announced in a statement on Monday.
He was investigated by both CCDI and National Commission of Supervision for “serious violations of the Party disciplines and laws”.
Lu, 56, was born in Shandong and began working as a clerk in the Ministry of Finance in 1984. Between 1984 and 2018, he mainly served as deputy director of the agriculture department under the Ministry of Finance and head of the ministry’s office for agricultural comprehensive development.
In August last year, he transferred to director of the department in charge of farmland construction management under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
