Fire-crackers factory blast claims 6 lives in north India

NEW DELHI - At least six people died and eight others injured when a powerful blast took place in a fire-crackers manufacturing factory in India's northern state of Uttar Pradesh on Saturday.

The fire-cracker factory is located in the state's Etah district.

Speaking to Xinhua over phone, a senior doctor at the local government hospital said "Six persons died in the blast. Eight persons were injured, out of whom three have been admitted to our hospital and the rest five referred to another district's hospital."
