Chinese major insurance company China Taiping Insurance Group launched its new insurance service center that targets the Association of Southeast Asian Nations market during the ongoing 16th China-ASEAN Expo in Nanning, capital of South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, in a bid to help promote regional economy and expand the Belt and Road Initiative.
The center will be a major platform for the company to conduct cross-border business and international cooperation with ASEAN member states, especially in insurance, elderly care and investment, according to China Taiping Insurance.
It also will back Chinese companies in conducting infrastructural construction, technical collaboration, and commercial and cultural exchanges in ASEAN countries, the company said.
The center in Guangxi also will support the BRI and further opening-up of the financial field in the region, it said.
The four-day expo, which runs through Tuesday, is themed "Building the Belt and Road: Realizing Our Vision for a Community of Shared Future".
