Daxing International Airport in Beijing held its opening ceremony on Wednesday.
The airport also has the world's largest single terminal covering 700,000 meters, the size of 98 soccer fields.
Its starfish-like layout, the brainchild of the late Iraqi-born British architect Zaha Mohammad Hadid, is set to minimize walking distance for passengers.
