Parts of central London were brought to a standstill on Monday as climate group Extinction Rebellion began its intended two-week protest.
More than 130 people were arrested on the first day of the 14-day-long protest.
Similar protests are also taking place in cities around the world, including Berlin, Amsterdam and Sydney.
The movement wants to increase the public's awareness on climate change and help to protect endangered species.
