9 dead, 10 injured in Wuxi gas leak

Nine people died, 10 were injured and many shops were damaged in an explosion caused by a gas leak in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, on Sunday morning.
The explosion occurred at 11 am at a snack bar on Xinyang Road in the city's Ehu township.
Rescue work concluded by 5 pm and the injured people now are in stable conditions, according to the Wuxi government WeChat account.
Government said that four excavators, 21 ambulances and fire trucks, together with 105 firemen and medical workers, went to the site for rescue work, with more than 80 volunteers also participating.
The snack bar was one of the shops in a three-story building. Neighboring shops affected by the explosion had their walls, windows and air-conditioners damaged.
