Seven miners were rescued from a coal mine in Shuangyashan, Northeast China's Heilongjiang province, on Tuesday afternoon, according to China News Service.

The seven were brought to the ground at about 12:40 pm and rushed to local hospital for medical care.

The trapped workers were in stable condition, said China News Service.

According to local authorities, a coal mine collapsed at about 5 am on Monday at a mine owned by Shuangyashan Company of Heilongjiang LongMay Mining Holding Group, trapping seven miners.

Local authorities mobilized more than 100 people to join the rescue operation, including experienced rescuers, police and medical workers.

Rescuers successfully got in touch with the seven trapped miners on Monday night and asked them to stay in a safe place to conserve energy.

Rescuers also tried to send food and water to them, China News Service said on Tuesday morning.
