One person was killed and four suffered minor injuries after a 5.2-magnitude earthquake hit Jingxi, a county-level city in South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, at 9:18 am Monday.

The casualties were reported in Daxin County near the epicenter.

The epicenter was 10 kilometers deep. The affected area borders Vietnam, so many other places in the border area like Daxin county of Chongzuo city felt the quake.

The Nanning railway station has taken measures to suspend related trains and guarantee the safety of train operations.
