BEIJING -- China's Ministry of Justice on Tuesday held an open-day event ahead of the country's sixth Constitution Day, which falls on Wednesday.

Over 60 representatives of the public, including national lawmakers, national political advisors, Beijing residents, teachers and students paid a visit to the office building of the ministry.

The representatives visited a Constitution exhibition, which introduced the development of the rule of law in China.

They also visited a command center of the ministry and joined staff of the ministry at a seminar to gain insight into their work.

Judicial administrative organs at provincial-level regions will also hold various open-day activities during the weeklong Constitution publicity campaign, which kicked off on Dec 1.
