The 17th Pioneer DJ Competition held by Pioneer DJ and NetEase FEVER was held in Shanghai on Sunday to promote Chinese young electronic musicians.
Gathering over 100 competitors and over 2 million votes online, the competition's final round competition saw 10 finalists. After a four-hour battling, three young Chinese DJs stood out, including DJ Max, who launched his professional DJ career in 2006.
In October 2018, NetEase Inc, one of China's leading internet services boasting a following of more than 400 million online users, launched a new electronic music brand called Fever, or Fang Ci in Chinese, hoping to support Chinese electronic musicians and the electronic music market in China.
