A string of Chinese semiconductor companies have already resumed work as of Monday, as they scramble to maintain normal operations amid the novel coronavirus outbreak.

Shanghai-based HiSilicon, the chip arm of Huawei Technologies Co, said it has already started work, with most employees engaged in remote work. The company said it is pouring in resources to maintain normal operations while preventing its employees from getting infected by the virus.

Unisoc Technologies Co, a core chip subsidiary of Tsinghua Unigroup, which is a major chip maker in China, said its employees started work on Monday, with its plants running non-stop since the Spring Festival holiday.

Currently, logistics is affected by the novel coronavirus outbreak, the company added.

Allwinner Technology, a chip company based in Zhuhai, South China's Guangdong province, also said it has resumed work on Monday, and later this week, the company will ship a batch of products out of the factory.

The Shenzhen-listed semiconductor company Goodix Technology and chip designer GigaDevice also resumed work on Monday.
