I joined as an international faculty member under the Department of International Trade and Economics at Yantai Vocational College in December 2019. Unfortunately during this time China has been suddenly affected by the novel coronavirus pneumonia. It has a greater impact on the international students of our college too. Most of the parents of our international students are concerned.

After having a thorough and regular medical checkup, all of our international students were returned successfully to their respective countries by providing all possible facilities by the authority. Picture of a group of our international students after a regular medical checkup, saying: “We thank the authority, teachers and staff of our college, as well as the government, a lot for their immense care during this time.

The authorities provided not only enough water, food, fruit, masks, medical devices (thermometers, room sanitizers), medicine and indoor gaming facilities, but also quality time from day to night even in the Chinese Lunar New Year vacation. We, the international community, were, are and will be with China always.”

China has enough potential to overcome this outbreak and the unstable situation quickly as the country has proven before.

Bablu Kumar Dhar is an assistant professor and international faculty member in the Department of International Trade and Economics, Yantai Vocational College, Yantai, Shandong province.
