BEIJING -- China launched a campaign to promote intellectual property rights (IPR) promotion via short video as the 20th World Intellectual Property Day fell on Sunday, according to the Copyright Society of China (CSC).

Jointly initiated by the CSC and video-sharing platform Douyin, the campaign invites nearly 20 celebrities from the cultural circle to call on everyone in the country to join in IPR protection.

It also invites netizens to share their opinions and advice on IPR protection via short videos online.

Sun Yue, vice president of CSC, expressed hope to reach a wider audience and better promote IPR protection in society as a whole.
