At Saturday's media briefing, Dr Jenny Harries, deputy chief medical officer for England, said "children definitely don't get as ill with coronavirus".
The goverment plans to reopen schools from next month. Education Secretary Gavin Williamson added that from June 1, school children and their families will be able to get tested if they develop symptoms, to make schools a safer environment.
