China, EU sign agreement on geographical indications

Leaders from China and the European Union jointly announced the signing of a bilateral agreement on geographical indications during the China-Germany-EU leaders' meeting on Monday.

The meeting via video link was co-chaired by President Xi Jinping, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, whose country currently holds the EU's rotating presidency, European Council President Charles Michel and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
