Ex-PM of Japan: Globalization benefits world economy

Although economic globalization has been under scrutiny for widening the economic gap between rich and poor countries, its great contribution to the world economy is undeniable, said Fukuda Yasuo, former prime minister of Japan, at the Beijing Forum held at Peking University.
He also hoped the world will think about "how to make the process of mutual influence between culture and civilization more gentle and 'painless' in the process of continuous economic globalization".
