A doctor surnamed Lin at a hospital in Xihu district of Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, was put under administrative detention for five days for revealing details of epidemiological survey and spreading them to WeChat groups, leading to infringement of a patient's privacy, local authorities said on Thursday.
Another two men, surnamed Zhang and Hu, were put under detention for seven days for spreading rumors concerning the case, the local public security authorities said.
These cases are related to a foreign teacher from the United Kingdom, who tested positive in nucleic acid tests in Hangzhou earlier this week.
So far, all the 136 contacts of the UK patient have been monitored, with their nucleic acid tests reporting negative, the Hangzhou Municipal Health Commission said on Thursday.
