The Beihai Wetland sees birds everywhere during the winter.

In January 2005, the Beihai Wetland in Tengchong, Southwest China's Yunnan province, became a nature reserve with a total area of 1,629 hectares. In 2016, 84 purple swamphen, a chicken-sized bird, arrived here. In 2021, they've grown to more than 2,000.
