The Ministry of Culture and Tourism will tighten up management of travelers and attractions for the approaching May Day holiday starting on Saturday to prevent risks of novel coronavirus epidemic resurgence.

The ministry said attractions should control population flows over the break. Travelers are required to make reservations before a visit.

Prevention measures, such as scanning health codes at attraction entrances and taking a traveler's body temperature, are required. Areas in attractions that may have massive gatherings, including traveler centers, restaurants and transportation stations, should be in stricter control.

The ministry also requires attraction operators to give health reminders to travelers during while taking shuttles, checking in hotels and sightseeing to better secure their safety during the holiday.
