More than 200 art works are on exhibition at the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, featuring 100 historical relics sites or memorial sites of the revolutionary period before the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949.

They were made by the academy's students since March after they journeyed to and made in-depth survey of the sites.

Their works are in various styles, including Chinese water-ink painting, watercolor painting, woodblock and artistic poster.

They aimed to memorialize the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, which is July 1.

The sites include memorial sites of the CPC Tianjin Committee, the CPC North China Bureau, the Lianhuafeng in Panshan Mountain, where seven heroes committed suicide rather than surrender to Japanese invaders, and the Beiyang Law and Politics Academy, where the founder of the CPC, Li Dazhao(1889-1927) graduated. Also included are some work sites where revolutionary martyrs initiated boycotts of the old government.
