Kenya is hoping to benefit significantly from highly advanced industrial technology in China's Shenzhen.

During a show dubbed 'This is Shenzhen photographic exhibition' held at the University of Nairobi on Saturday, Pius Rotich, the general manager of Kenya Investment Authority, said Kenya already hosts a vibrant community of Chinese companies who have chosen to invest in the country thanks to its business-friendly investment climate.

Rotich also noted Kenya has signed numerous preferential trade agreements that accord businesses based in the country convenient access to regional and international markets.

"We have enormous opportunities in the manufacturing sector due to heavy dependence on imported industrial products. Kenya's strategic location accords it preferential access to regional and international markets, as a leading hub for impact investors. There are numerous opportunities to take advantage of as an investor in Kenya," Rotich said.

He added Kenya is continuously reviewing its investment environment to ensure businesses located in the country maximize on their returns.

Li Changhao, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shenzhen representative in Kenya, said China has been a key investment partner of Kenya amid cordial bilateral relations and Kenya is an ideal investment location because of its large pool of talented workers.
