Exhibition of Chinese, Russian art held in Beijing

An art exhibition was held yesterday in Beijing at the Russian Cultural Center. Over 30 paintings, sculptures and calligraphy works were on display, covering the latest creations of artists from the National Art Museum of China and some pieces by Russian artists, which are now housed at the National Art Museum of China. Wu Weishan, curator of the National Art Museum of China, expressed at the opening ceremony that the museum aims to provide a platform for cultural exchanges and the display of artworks from both Chinese and Russian artists is a gesture reflecting a cross-cultural conversation. The exhibition will run till Aug 14.[Photo/Xinhua]
