Authorities have launched a program in Shijiazhuang in Hebei province, to help disabled graduates find jobs, according to the China Disabled Persons' Federation.

Organized in conjunction with the Education and Human Resources ministries, the program signals the start of a nationwide initiative to help disabled graduates secure employment as record numbers will enter the job market this year, the federation said in a media release.

Around 50 companies based in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei city cluster attended the event on Wednesday along with hundreds of students from Shijiazhuang.

According to the federation, 25,023 disable students graduated this year, the highest figure recorded to date.
