Nearly 20% of US households lost entire savings amid pandemic

Nearly 1 in 5 US households have emptied savings during the coronavirus pandemic, according to a survey released on Tuesday.
The poll of 3,616 adults indicates that two-thirds of households earning less than $50,000 a year said they had trouble paying rent, medical care and food.
