China's railway operator has strengthened epidemic control measures to contain the spread of COVID-19, including reducing train services and even suspending some services from medium- and high-risk areas to Beijing, China State Railway Group said.

As the national railway operator, the company has reduced regular speed long-distance trains. It has also curtailed and even stopped selling train tickets for travel from medium- and high-risk areas to Beijing. Tourist trains to medium- and high-risk areas have been halted. The free ticket refund policy has been applied to relevant train services.

The epidemic-control policy to enter the capital has been reinforced. All passengers entering Beijing are required to have a green Beijing health code. Travelers without a green Beijing health code will be asked to leave the train before entering the capital.

Some tourism-related cases have emerged in certain areas across China. As of Monday, China has two high-risk areas and 28 medium-risk areas.
