Aksu: land of glaciers

Aksu, which means "clear water", has 1,298 glaciers. It covers an area of 4,098 square kilometers, and is one of the places in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region that has the most abundant water resources.
Aksu has many rivers flowing on its land, among which the Tarim River is the longest inland river in China.
