A media reception center in Zhangjiakou, Hebei province, for non-accredited journalists during the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics opened for online registration on Thursday.

The 2022 Zhangjiakou Media Reception, which will run from Feb 1 to 20, will be set up at the Xingheng Grand Metro Park Hotel's convention center in the co-host city of the Games.

To register, journalists need to submit their identity, certification from affiliated media outlets and a record of full vaccination by 10 am on Jan 15 through the website www.zhangjiakoumedia.com.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, the reception center will mainly accommodate domestic reporters and journalists from the Beijing offices of overseas media outlets.

In addition to the Main Media Center providing services for accredited journalists, two media centers set up in Beijing and Zhangjiakou for non-accredited journalists will be put to use during the Games. They will provide services in line with the Olympic Host Contract and international practices, which include news releases and interviews.
