Guangdong districts to reward tip-offs on illegal border crossings

Some districts of Zhuhai, Guangdong province, are offering 10,000 ($1,577) to 100,000 yuan for tip-offs on smuggling and illegal border crossing to fend off the importation of COVID-19 infection.

Organizers of illegal border crossings are also targeted in such clue collecting, according to the notices issued by the epidemic control authorities of the districts of Xiangzhou, Jinwan and Doumen and the Zhuhai High-tech Industrial Development Zone dated Feb 15.
