Millions of Americans borrowing money from friends, family to get by

Some 25.6 million people, or more than 10 percent of American adults, have to rely on borrowing from friends and family for financial support to meet their spending needs, up from 19.1 million a year ago, according to recent data from the US Census Bureau. It's a sign of the financial stress many American families are facing as prices continue to soar.
