Since its launch 17 years ago, the Croisements Festival has continued to foster Franco-Chinese cultural dialogues with an exceptional scope and diversity. It invites the public to embark on a journey where ideas are expressed through visual arts, fashion, performance, music, literature, and of course, motion picture.
Masterworks by Samuel Beckett and Jean Genet will be put on stage again. Among the 72 programs in 25 Chinese cities, music, both classical and contemporary, will be celebrated with many performances.
In this interview, pianist Wu Muye, one of the ambassadors of this year's festival, shares with China Daily his devotion toward music and how classical music continues to nurture and inspire us today.
