Study: US immigrants more likely to start firms, create jobs than native-born citizens

A study found that immigrants in the US are about 80 percent more likely per capita to start businesses than US-born citizens, and the immigrant-founded businesses have, on average, about 1 percent more employees than those founded by local citizens. "Immigrants act more as 'job creators' than 'job takers' and that non-US born founders play outsized roles in US high-growth entrepreneurship," said Pierre Azoulay, co-author of the study.
