Sun Feng, the former head of a bank in Jiangsu province suspected of contract fraud, who fled overseas, was detained and returned to China on Thursday, anti-corruption authorities said on Friday.

Born in 1978, Sun was director of the Yaosai branch of the Agricultural Bank of China in Jiangyin. He was suspected of using his position to defraud large amounts of money, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China and the National Commission of Supervision said.

After he fled in 2011, police launched an investigation into him. In 2015, Sun was listed as one of country's 100 most-wanted fugitives, all of whom are subject to Interpol Red Notices.

Sun was the 61st fugitive on the list to be arrested since the launch of the Sky Net anti-corruption operation in 2014, authorities said, adding that his arrest showed the country's determination to track down fugitives and urging those who have fled abroad to voluntarily return and surrender.
