Online tour celebrates Dragon Boat Festival in Qu Yuan's hometown

As June 3 marks the Dragon Boat Festival, a series of cultural activities are being held in poet Qu Yuan's hometown - Zigui county in Central China's Hubei province.

China Media Group CRI Online has launched the "Hello, Qu Yuan" Hubei Zigui Dragon Boat Festival Global Tour Broadcast Plan, taking global audience on an online tour of Dragon Boat Festival celebrations in Qu Yuan's hometown from June 3 to 5.

The Dragon Boat Festival, an important traditional festival in China, falls on the fifth day of the fifth month on the Chinese lunar calendar. It's a 2,000-year-old tradition celebrated in various forms to remember the ancient poet Qu Yuan, a patriotic poet from the State of Chu during the Warring States Period (475-221 BC).
