Fudan University holds commencement for Class of 2022

Fudan University held the commencement ceremony for its Class of 2022 on June 17, with more than 10,000 graduates receiving their bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees.
"Life is full of struggles and the biggest and most enduring challenge in life is learning how to face obstacles. Remember that every challenge is an opportunity," said Jin Li, principal of the university, told graduates at the commencement.
During the event, Li Jun, a professor of mathematics at Fudan and an academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, spoke about seizing opportunities and encouraged graduates to be persistent when facing difficulties and to be enthusiastic in the careers they choose.
Jiang Jiandong, an alumnus of the Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, urged graduates to treasure integrity, fairness and kindness.
"I hope medical graduates will give their best efforts in the development of domestic medical and health care industries," Jiang said.
Yu Zhibo, who graduated with a bachelor's degree in physics, said at the ceremony that he will pursue his ambition of serving the country through research.
"Hold onto the passion for exploring the world and always care for and love your life. Let's embark on the next journey together!" Yu said.
