UK to push ahead with Rwanda migrant program

Asylum seekers continue to arrive in the United Kingdom since the country's Rwanda migrant scheme was agreed. Both candidates to replace Prime Minister Boris Johnson have pledged to pursue the Rwanda policy.

A 21-year-old called Aladeen risked his life to travel thousands of miles from Syria to United Kingdom, only to be told he will be sent to Rwanda.

Despite the scheme, asylum seekers like Aladeen keep arriving in the the country, with 696 reaching UK shores on Aug 1 alone.
