Firefighters win special recognition for efforts in Chongqing

Four groups have won the "Moved Chongqing" special award given on Sunday by the Publicity Department of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee and Office of the Chongqing Spiritual Civilization Construction Commission.

The four groups are: the Yunnan Province Forest Fire Brigade, Sichuan Province Forest Fire Brigade, Ministry of Emergency Management Southern General Station of Aerial Forest Protection and the Gansu Province Forest Fire Brigade Longnan Branch.

They sent more than 1,000 rescue workers to fight the raging wildfires in Chongqing's Fuling, Beibei, Banan, Jiangjin, Nanchuan, Dazu, Bishan and Tongliang districts, putting in an outstanding effort to extinguish the blazes.
