Emergency team sent to Sichuan quake zone

The National Health Commission said on Tuesday that it has dispatched emergency medical teams to areas affected by Monday's magnitude 6.8 earthquake in Luding county in southwestern China's Sichuan province.
Some 70 experts specialized in trauma, critical care, neurosurgery, orthopedics, anesthesia, nursing, and public health have been dispatched.
Several hospitals in Sichuan have set up fast-track channel to treat the injured.
Three additional emergency medical teams based in Chongqing municipality, Hunan and Shaanxi provinces remain are on standby, the commission added.
