"My works are folds in my heart. The folds are like waves of passion as well as ravines where vitality is buried. Yet folds are fickle and turbulent, just like the world we live in," he said.

His paintings interpreted the essence of life and, according to Sun, it is like the despair one feels when a "catastrophic flood wreaks havoc".
