Five central departments, including the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the State Administration for Market Regulation, have offered administrative guidance on 11 platforms recently to protect the working rights of flexibly employed workers.
The 11 platforms are mainly in the sharing economy sector and include food delivery platforms Meituan and Eleme and ride-hailing company Didi.
According to a recent release by the human resources ministry, the five central departments required these platforms to shoulder the responsibility of protecting flexibly employed workers' rights and have offered suggestions to help them do so.
