Americans expected to give fewer gifts this holiday season

Spending during the holiday season is forecast to remain the same as last year, but with inflation pushing up product prices by 10%, consumers are likely to make fewer purchases and give fewer gifts, down to nine gifts per person from 16 last year, a report from Deloitte said.
