Li Hongwei acquired the disciplines of an artist at the sculpture department of Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing and the New York State College of Ceramics, Alfred University in the United States. Exposure to various forms of art and cultures have rendered his works a diverse and experimental feeling.

Li's solo exhibition, Becoming Harmonious, which runs through Feb 19 at Long Museum's West Bund venue in Shanghai, shows more than 20 sculptures and installations to reflect his continuous exploration with the blending of different materials.
