Nice to Miffy You, a new exhibition that opened at the Museum of Modern Art (MoCA) Shanghai on Dec 23, marks the first large-scale collaboration between Miffy, a beloved children's cartoon character, and Chinese artists.

Miffy is a cartoon rabbit created by Dutch artist Dick Bruna in 1955. The image went through many changes through the decades, and many artists have worked on it to give it even richer forms and expressions, said Miriam Sun, director of MoCA Shanghai.

Nice to Miffy You invited 26 Chinese artists and designers who have taken Miffy to ancient China's Shang Dynasty, the Baroque period in Europe, and represented the cartoon character with Chinese ceramic, ink art, as well as AR projects and 3D imagery.

The exhibition also marked the opening of the eighth Animamix Biennial at MoCA Shanghai.
