World Bank makes big cut to 2023 growth outlook

The World Bank slashed its global economic growth forecast in 2023 to 1.7 percent from three percent in mid-2022.
The Global Economic Prospects report released by the World Bank on Tuesday said the growth rate will be the third lowest in nearly 30 years, after the global recession resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and the global financial crisis in 2009.
