Two people were slightly injured in rear-end collisions involving more than 20 vehicles in Lanzhou, Gansu province on Wednesday morning, local police reported.

Due to snowfall, five rear-end collisions happened around 7:30 am on Wednesday, leading to some vehicles catching fire, according to a notice released by the public security bureau of Gaolan county, Lanzhou, on Wednesday afternoon.

The road traffic was interrupted. Local police, firefighters and emergency response departments have arrived to deal with the accident. Traffic resumption and incident investigation are underway, it said.
