Cat lovers catch up with accused feline abuser

Several people in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, have been investigated by police for allegedly insulting and beating a man who frequently abused cats.

According to a joint investigation team of Suzhou's Wuzhong district, the cat abuser, surnamed Li, killed adopted cats brutally many times. He also posted videos of cats being abused and made provocative comments, which angered some cat lovers online.

A netizen surnamed Mou noticed from Li's posts that he would adopt kittens at a square recently, so Mou asked six other cat lovers from many cities to hurry to Suzhou to stop Li there.

Four of the cat lovers physically controlled, slapped, kicked and insulted Li on Saturday before they posted a video of their behavior on the internet to attract attention, according to the joint investigation team.

Li has been investigated for abusing cats by the Suzhou police.
