1 in 7 vehicles sold worldwide is electric

One in 7 vehicles sold worldwide in 2022 was electric, compared with 1 in 70 cars sold in 2017, according to a recent report by the International Energy Agency. Global sales of EVs rose about 60 percent last year to exceed 10 million for the first time.
