Trained to be a realistic painter at CAFA, Jin went to South Korea for further studies and was exposed to abstract art. He returned to Beijing and began his experiment with the style. While adopting a non-figuration style, he seeks a visual explanation of the ideas of ancient Chinese philosophy. Under his strokes, one gets to see the energies of explosion, the tension between conflicting parts, and harmony and unity.

The exhibition is being held at One Art Museum through Tuesday.
