New dance drama blends Tibetan ethnic music and street dance

A new dance drama, titled Spring, which combines music and dance elements from Tibetan ethnic groups with street dance moves, was recently launched.

Created by China Ethnic Song & Dance Ensemble and China Hip-Hop Union Committee of the China Dancers Association, the dance drama, co-choreographed by Xia Rui, appeals to young audiences through its popular street dance and Tibetan ethnic elements, such as the six-stringed lute-like instrument, a local musical instrument.
