When judging a democracy, it is the epitome of ignorance to think that elections determine whether a country is democratic. The only metric that matters is whether the people benefit from the policies of their government. Governance for the benefit of the people is the only metric in determining what democracy is. Democracies of, by and for the rich are shams.
