Miriam Yeung preparing for upcoming world concert tour

Hong Kong singer and actress Miriam Yeung Chin-wah is preparing to begin her new world tour, starting in domestic cities including Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen, and eventually travellig to foreign cities in countries like Canada, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.

Under the theme My Tree of Live, the concert will unfold like a musical play, with stories told about her reflections on life, Yeung said at a news conference in Beijing on Wednesday, adding that well-known pieces from her are sure to be included in the repertoire for a chorus with the audience.

Yeung said she has been attempting to write the script for her concert play, and that, just like the growth rings of a tree, one has to look at every piece of melody and lyrics with his or her own life experiences. She believes that singing the same songs at different ages is like telling a brand-new story.

According to the concert organizer, the world tour is planned to include more than 50 cities around the world, starting with two shows in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, on May 27-28, followed with one in Xiamen, Fujian province, on June 17.
